Weathers invites Gardeners to Celebrate Spring at the Southern Plant and Flower Festival

Hugh Weathers, Commissioner of Agriculture, invites veteran and novice gardeners to celebrate the coming of spring at the Southern Plant and Flower Festival, the oldest and the largest of the Department of Agriculture’s three spring festivals. The Festival will be held April 20-23, 2006 at the Pee Dee State Farmers Market, 2513 W. Lucas St. in Florence.

The South Carolina Department of Agriculture, Hugh Weathers, Commissioner, urges parents and the Easter bunny, if applicable, to take measures to make sure that the eggs they decorate and hide for Easter are as safe after the hunt as they are before the hunt.
