CONSUMER AFFAIRS TO OPEN NEWBERRY OFFICE
Columbia, SC….. The South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs will open a new satellite location at the Newberry County Council Chambers, 1309 College Street, on Monday, October 22.
Department representatives will make quarterly visits to the location. Additionally, SCDCA Outreach Coordinator Angela Richard will serve the Newberry area and be available to consumers via phone, e-mail, or appointment by request Monday through Friday. Richard is excited about being able to service a wider area of the Upstate and providing consumers personal feedback and attention. “Having a satellite office in the area not only provides consumers face-to-face access with staff, but it also allows the Department to tailor workshops and education initiatives to address the issues Upstate consumers deal with most,” said Richard.
The Newberry satellite opening is the result of a collaborative effort with County Administrator Wayne Adams and staffer Denise Taylor. The Department currently has satellite offices in Gaffney, Laurens, Boiling Springs, Landrum, and Summerville with regularly scheduled visits to all locations.
