DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS TO OPEN GREENWOOD OFFICE
Columbia, SC….. The South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs will open a new satellite location at the Greenwood Park Plaza on October 29. The opening will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the satellite office located in Room 104 in Greenwood, SC 29646.
The Department will make monthly visits to the satellite location on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Additionally, SCDCA Outreach Coordinator Angela Richard will serve the area and be available to consumers via phone, e-mail, or appointment by request Monday through Friday. Richard is excited about being able to service a wider area and providing consumers face-to-face feedback and attention. “The Greenwood area is a growing and thriving community that really deserves the kind of face-to-face access this office will provide. We are thrilled to provide the consumer education and workshops to the area,” said Richard.
The Greenwood satellite opening is the result of a collaborative effort with Greenwood Operation Manager Victor Carpenter and the Greenwood County Council. The Department currently has satellite offices in Gaffney, Laurens, Summerville, Boiling Springs, Landrum, Spartanburg and Newberry with regularly scheduled visits to all locations.
