COLUMBIA – Fastco Threaded Products, Inc. has been recognized for its environmental performance with membership in the South Carolina Environmental Excellence Program, the state Department of Health and Environmental Control announced today.
“Fastco Threaded Products uses its environmental management system to manage its environmental programs as well as to foster continual improvement in its environmental performance,” said Robert W. King Jr., DHEC’s deputy commissioner for Environmental Quality Control. “By setting significant reduction goals for energy and water usage, and striving to eliminate environmentally harmful emissions, Fastco Threaded Products has demonstrated support for DHEC and SCEEP's goal of improving South Carolina’s environment.”
King said SCEEP is a voluntary initiative designed to recognize and reward South Carolina facilities that have demonstrated environmental performance through pollution prevention, energy and resource conservation, and the use of an environmental management system. DHEC has supported the program since its creation in 1997.
Fascto Threaded Products, Inc. is one of the newest members to join the other 29 members in the SCEEP Program.
