(Columbia, SC) A Pelion man is facing woods arson charges stemming from a fire on December 19. Forestry Commission agents arrested Ronald Gray Lineberry, 41, for deliberately starting a forest fire on George Brown Road.
According to reports, witnesses implicated Lineberry when Lexington County firefighters arrived to extinguish the blaze. Forestry Commission agents were called and subsequently arrested Lineberry at his home near the fire scene.
Lineberry is charged with one count of woods arson. If convicted, he could be facing up to five years in prison.
