Agents said Knight and his wife, Bonnie Knight, were renting a home located on a wooded tract in Mt. Croghan.  In May 2006, they allegedly sold timber from the property without the owner’s permission.

Bonnie Knight was charged in the case in October.  Agents recently obtained new information that led to Donald Knight’s arrest.

The warrant against Donald Knight was served in the Kershaw County Detention Center where he is being held on non-related charges.

Timber theft is a felony under South Carolina law.  If convicted, Knight could be sentenced to up to ten years in prison.
