ANDERSON, SC – Another great fall farm opportunity is here! The Garrison Family is hosting their 4th Annual Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch during Farm Fun Days at Denver Downs Farm, located on Highway 76, one mile north of Interstate 85 near Anderson. This fall destination is open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. through December 3rd.
After visitors find their way through the human labyrinth, they are invited to explore and enjoy other attractions that include: a giant 6-acre Pumpkin Patch, a Giant Country Hay Barn designed for children of all ages, Hay Rides around the 100-acre site past the Corn Maze and through the Pumpkin Patch, covered adult relaxation adjacent to the children’s area, a Corn-box (the only alternative to the traditional sandbox) and small child’s pay area.
The Garrisons also invite scarecrow enthusiasts to participate in their 2nd Annual Scarecrow Alley. Participants can let their imaginations run wild in designing scarecrows made with their own materials. The scarecrows, which will need to be as weatherproof as possible, will be on display through the month of October.
Scarecrows should be delivered to the Corn Maze at Denver Downs Farm during weekend hours October 13, 14, 20, and 21st. All scarecrow entries will be mounted to posts and displayed along Scarecrow Alley. Corn Maze attendees will vote for their favorite scarecrow entry and those votes will be tallied and winners announced on Sunday, Oct. 28th. First Prize is $300, Second Prize is $200, and Third Prize is $100.
