Press Release:

COLUMBIA, SC – The South Carolina Department of Agriculture joined the South Carolina World Trade Center to attend the 10th Americas Food & Beverage Show in Miami.

They were part of the more than 300 exhibitors at the Miami Beach Convention Center October 29-31, 2007, and showcased South Carolina products to buyers from different countries and from across the United States.

“Our goal was to network, develop trade leads and get South Carolina products into Central and South America,” said Aaron Wood, a marketing specialist with the SC Department of Agriculture.

Wood said the trip was a success and they generated more than 40 trade leads for South Carolina specialty food sellers.

Some of the products showcased from South Carolina were A Taste of the South, Carolina Plantation Rice, State Street Snacks, and Allen Brothers Milling. David White with Black Mustard Barbeque Slather also made the trip.
