Felton Laboratory School
A Professional Development School for the teacher education program at South Carolina State University. The organization of the school includes a Kindergarten class, a non-graded Lower School and a Middle School.
Governor's School for Science and Mathematics
A public residential high school which serves academically advanced juniors and seniors studying science and mathematics.
Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities
A public residential high school which serves artistically gifted high school students studying creative writing, dance, drama, music and visual arts.

A state-supported residential group child-care agency with a primary purpose of assisting at-risk children and families.
School for the Deaf and the Blind
Offers programs for individuals who are deaf, blind or sensory multidisabled at its main campus and regional centers located throughout the state.
Wil Lou Gray Opportunity School
The school, in partnership with the South Carolina National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Academy, provides an alternative education to youths between 16 and 18 years of age.
